The members of the Republican controlled Congress voted themselves a $3,100 annual raise today, the same day that the House voted 217-215 to cut $700 million from the food stamp program. Compassionate conservatism? Not to the estimated 235,000 people who would lose benefits under the plan. How did your multimillionaire Represenative vote for you, Montana?
