That speech was an affront to reasonable disagreement with government. Even when admitting that the pre-war justifications were a sham, Bush couldn’t stop lying about what ‘we believed’.
Disagreement with a war?–Defeatism.
Iraq–Linked to 9/11, of course.
The suffering in the war–exploited for political gain by a draft dodger.
Facts, Figures, Details–absolutely missing.
Don’t the people Bush talked about (our wounded soldiers, the Iraqis, the American public) deserve to at least know what our plans are? How much we can expect to pay? How long it will last?
He is a loathsome, self-aggrandizing bully, and an embarassment to our country.

Update: I loved the protestors screaming ‘Liar!’ and ‘Resign!’loudly in background on MSNBC while Kelly O’Donnell was cheerfully rephrasing the speech for Bush.
