Colby, I sincerely doubt that a newspaper or news orginization would ever come out and support a Canidate. They are supposedly non-partisan after all.

Well, you’re probably right. But, I’m going to take some advice from Gerik to heart and not just complain about it this time. I’ve spent my morning/early afternoon writing everyone I can about it–because the media might respond if they’re forced to.

After reading all the online newspapers in Montana, I find that the majority of them have used the AP story (with no fact checking). The Butte Standard did thier own story which is a little better but again, it does no fact checking and little actual reporting. Forget seeing any mention of the “seating arrangements” in a Montana Newspaper. At least the Butte paper allows readers to leave comments and the seating arrangements did come up there…

I haven’t had the chance to see which, if any, newpapers have endorsed candidates. Any idea on that? That might play into this a bit.

Excellent analysis, Pogie. As a political essay on the bland incompetence of the media, it’s the best I’ve seen lately.
