What about the good old days?

Wait a second - teen pregnancy rates are down to their lowest level in…wait for it…60 years. That’s 1946. What about the good old days of the 1950s, before the pill, before Roe v. Wade, before the sexual revolution, before Grand Theft Auto and Bill Clinton. Should pregnancy rates have been lower then? Certainly, either there were no good old days when America was God-fearing, or else (*gasp*) even when abstinence was the norm and premarital sex a cause for shame, teenagers still were pregnant more often because the didn’t use contraception. Either way, lower pregnancy rates can’t be chalked up as a win for abstinence, a fact research has confirmed.

Women who were having their babies in the 30’s and 40’s used to say” the second one takes nine months, the first one could come at any time.”
