Will the Democrats Try to Defeat Rehberg?

I understand there must be a lot of shock at the Democratic Party HQ today after Jim Hunt’s stunning defeat, but I can’t understand why Chairman McDonald would send out an e-mail to Democratic supporters listing all of the offices Democrats can win in November without even mentioning our U.S. House candidate, John Driscoll.

My preferred candidate did lose in the House race yesterday. That doesn’t change the fact that we have an odious ineffective Representative in Washington who needs to be replaced. I’m willing to do what I can, no matter the long odds. After all, as Chairman McDonald noted in his e-mail blast:

Working together, Democrats are building a better Montana–a Montana that we’ll be proud to pass down to our kids and grandkids.

Let’s work together–and at least recognize–all of our candidates this fall.

Too bad we couldn’t have had Driscoll run against Kelleher.
