According to Bush the Democrats are to blame for the high gas prices.
Yeah, I’ll just let that sink in for a second…
… President Bush drilled the “Democratic-controlled Congress” for opposing White House energy policies, which he said has resulted in the rise of “gas prices to record levels.”
“If Congressional leaders leave for the Fourth of July recess without taking action, they will need to explain why $4-a-gallon gasoline is not enough incentive for them to act. And Americans will rightly ask how high oil — how high gas prices have to rise before the Democratic-controlled Congress will do something about it,” Bush said in the Rose Garden.
With no intent of oversimplifying a very complex issue, I have to ask, was it the Democrats or Bush that started who invaded Iraq and caused a major spike in oil prices? Is it the Democratic Party or Bush that is constantly shaking the saber of war in the direction of Iran and severely damaging confidence in the oil market?
Maybe my memory is a little fuzzy, but wasn’t it Bush that didn’t know gas was going to go up to $4 a gallon? Wasn’t it Bush that didn’t believe it was going to go that high? Oh wait, my memory is just fine:
What a incompetent weasel! I don’t think anyone is going to buy this kind of ridiculous, unfounded rhetoric - his incompetency is far too blatant and painful for middle and lower-class America.

True…Bush and company are basically responsible for skyrocketing energy prices, thanks to the mindless creation of chaos and uncrtainty in Iraq-Iran-the Gulf and the surrounding area. But they are also responsible for fostering an unregulated oil and gas futures market by creating the “Enron loophole” which allows oil futures speculators unfettered ability to drive up energy prices, without any government oversight of any kind. Most conservative energy analysts estimate this unregulated speculation (operating the way Enron cornered energy prices in California) accounts for at least 25% of the increase in oil prices during the past few years, and possibly as much as 50%. Thus, when you pay $4 for a gsllon of gas, as much as $1 (possibly $2) goes to unregulated speculators. All thanks to the Bush Gang and that crowd, (who created the infamous “Enron Loophole”, and so far have resisted repealing it) and who are now giving economic advise to the McCain campaign.
