No…This Isn’t a Stunt for Politics! Not at All!

This is what your member of Congress thinks qualifies as doing the people’s work: making amateurish YouTube videos, in which he pronounces basic words he’s recently been visiting Kazakhstan.

I guess I understand what Rehberg is doing. Despite his legislative history as the least productive member of Congress in a Republican Congress that met for the fewest number of days this century and his penchant for corporate and federal-funded junkets during every recess opportunity, some of unreality-based community seems actually impressed by this.

Given that Rehberg has never given them anything substantive, he might as well give them a little summer spectacle before the Olympics begin.

I do have to ask, though, is Rehberg even still in Washington? Not according to his schedule, which he promised to update after every day. Will he be in Butte next Monday, as promised, for a celebratory opening of a biofuels plant, a gesture that is purely political?
