Pity the poor Montana Meth Project:
Slaughter, former director of the state Department of Corrections, took over the daily operations of the nonprofit organization last month. During a meeting Tuesday with reporters at the Montana Women’s Prison in Billings, Slaughter said the organization is as committed as ever to fighting drug abuse despite its budget challenges.
Just a thought, but perhaps the executive director of the Project shouldn’t draw such an excessive salary AND retain the former director on the payroll, if times are so tough.
[Once again, would it kill the Gazette to occasionally mention in its PR-style coverage of the Montana Meth Project that its publisher is a member of the MMP Board? I guess when you are Montana's largest advertiser, your coverage might be a little different than other organizations.]
