Because we’d certainly hate to have people like Katherine Miller leading our troops some day:

Ranked # 9 in her class overall, she routinely “super-maxes” her physical fitness tests.  One of her blogs was featured in the Sunday print edition of the Washington Post as part of “The Gray Zone: West Point on Leadership.” However, today Cadet Katherine Miller tendered her resignation, coming out as gay to her superior officers at West Point.

What will it take for President Obama to show some real leadership on this issue, simultaneously increasing access to civil rights and enhancing our national security? He certainly wouldn’t be playing a game with both, planning to wait until more Republicans are in the Congress, would he?

So disappointing.

Well, indeed, what will it take for President Obama to show some real leadership on ANY issue?

Though I wish he'd get going on issues of like, more importance to the queer community, like the civil unions he's ostensibly in favor of…

Yesterday I accidentally swallowed some food coloring. The doctor says I’m OK, but I feel like I’ve dyed a little inside.
