Given all the Republican hand-wringing about the Clinton campaign staff planting a question at a town hall meeting, I’m tempted to ask why no outrage about President Bush, who only appears before audiences so sympathetic that the Kool-Aid stains are still on their mouths?

It’d be easy and deserved to blame Chuck Schumer and Diane Feinstein for their responsibility in the latest Democratic capitulation, in the confirmation of an Attorney General who believes that the President can overrule federal law, but at least they voted.
